Roberto Vazquez is a native of Tampico, Mexico, and has been a resident of Central Ohio for most of his adult life. Beginning his education at the American School of Tampico, Mr. Vazquez became a high school Exchange Student in West Jefferson, Ohio. He received his bachelor’s degree in business management with a minor in finance from Wittenberg University in 1986.
Mr. Vazquez has over 34 years of combined automotive sales and management experience, including positions as Sales Consultant, Team Leader, Sales Manager, General Sales Manager, and General Manager. He is proud of the fact that his entire automotive career has been with the Toyota family, including a combined 3 years with Performance Toyota and Germain Toyota, and 31 years with Germain Lexus of Dublin. Mr. Vazquez has played a central roll in Germain Lexus of Dublin being recognized as an “Elite of Lexus” dealer for 30 consecutive years (1991-2021), an accomplishment only three other Lexus dealers nationally can claim.
First appointed by then Ohio Governor Robert Taft in 2005, Mr. Vazquez has served on the State of Ohio’s Motor Vehicle Dealers Board for the past 15 years. He held the position of Vice President on that Board for two years.
Mr. Vazquez is very involved in his community. He is an active member of Cypress Church. He has enjoyed serving as assistant coach for two local youth softball programs, Nightmare and Venom. In recent years, he has also developed a passion for running, logging 4 miles a day.
Mr. Vazquez is married to Lora A. Vazquez. They have two daughters, Kasi Ann and McKinly Ann. Roberto and Lora currently reside in Upper Arlington, Ohio.
